One of my main text books for home schooling my kids was the Bible. We read it every day throughout the years we schooled at home.
One of the main books in the Bible we studied was Proverbs, the book written by the man God gave special wisdom to, Solomon.
He wrote Proverbs specifically to give wisdom to the young. It is a powerful resource to use to see God build wisdom into your children.
In it he says that naturally there is foolishness in our kids hearts and that
the rod of discipline drives it out (Pro 22:15)and imparts wisdom (Pro 29:15).
Proverbs 13:24 “He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.”
Discipline brings wisdom into the hearts of our children.
“Get wisdom, get understanding, do not forget my words or swerve from them.Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you, love her and she will watch over you.Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom”.Proverbs 4:5-7
