He Is With You

Tim recently posted reflections from Psalm 23- that the Lord’s goodness and mercy pursue you all the days of your life! It is such an amazing truth!

Another verse from that Psalm has been sticking out to me- “YOU ARE WITH ME”

“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters,  he refreshes my soul.

He guides me along the right pathsfor his name’s sake.Even though I walk  through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”  Psalm 23:1-4

I believe this is a word from the Lord for you today.

As you begin a new school year. Jesus , “Good Shepherd”  promises to be with you and help you through the power of the Holy Spirit, whom He called “the Helper”

He is with you . As I prayed for a young mom this week who is beginning to home school her 4 children, I had saw the image of Jesus standing just behind her, but he was very tall and strong. He was reaching His arms through hers to organize a table which represented her school. His title was “School Master” and he was bringing order and peace to her school, represented by the table.

I bless you with that word today for your school. He is ordering your way.

Remember that your children belong to God and He is right there with you , helping you each moment. As you acknowledge His presence, He will make your paths straight .(Proverbs 3:5-6) Trust Him and speak to Him throughout the day and He will give you wisdom and  you will be filled with His peace that passes understanding.

He promises in this Psalm to lead you and guide you. When you get stressed, I encourage you to envision the green pastures next to the quiet waters , and lie down there and rest . Your soul will be refreshed.

Susanna Wesley who had a had 19 of children, including John and Charles who helped bring about the “Great Awakening revival ” in England, was said to have raised her apron over her face frequently throughout each day. Her children knew  to be quiet and not to bother her, as she was talking with the Lord. I always loved her model of dependence.

The presence of the Lord is filled with rich peace and joy. I encourage you to start each day in His presence receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit and His rich peace to be table to share with your children. As you encourage Him to be apart of your day,  every day, you will see the atmosphere of your entire home change, which in turn effects your children greatly!

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep…they listen to my voice, John 10:10b,14

I pray the Lord’s Shalom peace on you today and His abundant life.
